Interested in the benefits of the Free Market?

Benefits of the Free Market:

•    Cost reduction

Reduce costs and generate competitiveness to your products or services.

•    Cost predictability

Better budget predictability for your company thanks to pre-defined energy prices until a contract ends (adjusted for inflation) and avoiding tariff variations you can expect in the Regulated Market.

•    Free negotiation

The choice of your energy supplier and free negotiation of terms and commercial conditions allow for greater performance and profitability for your business.

•    Single contract for several consumer units

Streamline processes by signing a single contract for several consumer units that utilizes a compensation system designed to manage energy imbalances.

•    Sustainability

Contract energy from renewable sources, such as small hydroelectric, solar and wind power plants to help meet your sustainability goals and contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emission

Energy Free Market is the contracting environment where the customer and seller agree on the conditions and prices of an energy contract. Through the Free Market, customers can choose and buy energy directly from the companies that generate or sell it. In other words, buyers and sellers can freely negotiate between themselves, which enables better negotiation on price, terms and commercial conditions.

The opposite of the Free Market is the Regulated Market where consumers must purchase energy from the Distribution Companies in their concession area. This type of environment does not allow consumer to negotiate price or negotiate the tariffs established by ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency).

Who is eligible to participate in the Free Market?

Industries and businesses of every kind that are connected to the medium or high voltage with a minimum of 500kW of contracted demand are eligible to reap the benefits of the Free Market.

Once in the Free market, there are two types of consumers:

•    Special Consumer: Contracted demand between 500kW and 1,500kW. This type of consumer must purchase renewable energy, such as hydroelectric, wind, solar and battery energy storage In instances where the consumer unit contracts a demand lower than 500kW, it’s possible to aggregate several consumer units under the same National Registry of Legal Entities that when summed together total at least 500kW.

•    Free Consumer: Contracted demand higher than 1,500kW. This type of consumer can purchase energy from any source.
