The Program Turning Consumers into Clients has already benefited more than 1 million low income people, living in AES Eletropaulo and AES Sul areas of operation.

Carried out with resources of its own and from the Energy Efficiency Program – that uses 0.5% of the energy distributors’ net operational revenue -, the Program contemplates several actions in addition to the regularization of electric connections, such as donation of input patterns, renewal of electric installations inside and outside the homes, replacement of high energy consumption fridges with more efficient ones, replacement of incandescent lamps with fluorescent ones and lectures and actions to encourage safe and adequate electricity consumption. This work also promotes social inclusion and citizenship, since many of the new customers already have in the electricity bill their first proof of abode.
